Dr. Jim Bell is the founder and CEO of the International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA) and its two subsidiaries, Doctor's Fitness Centers (DFC) and The Fitness Institute of Technology (FIT). He is the Founder and Chairman of the Fellowship In Integrative Sports Medicine (FIISM), a Fellowship for doctors to increase their scope of practice in patient care and treatments. The FPMNSM protocols provide knowledge, skills and abilities that enable doctors to use exercise, nutrition and sports medicine protocols for the treatment of over 65 different diseases, disabilities and dysfunctions.

Dr. Bell has authored 12 books, 68 certification courses for the IFPA, 9 Fellowship Modules for FIISM, 1 certification program as the Chairman of the American College of Anti-Aging Sports Medicine Professionals (ACASP) and hundreds of articles for numerous magazines and publications in various topics relating to sports medicine/conditioning/behavior modification, fitness, health, exercise, anti-aging & longevity, and motivation. He has made hundreds of presentation on these at numerous medical and fitness conferences around the world, including Asia, Southeast Asia, Europe, North and South America, and all major US cities.

Dr. Bell has had undergraduate and graduate education in numerous subjects, including engineering, psychology, management, exercise physiology, and holds two PhD’s in medical fitness specialization and sports and fitness training. He is currently working on a PhD in natural health and an ND in naturopathic medicine. He is a former NCAA gymnast, NCAA gymnastics coach, martial artist, bodybuilder, powerlifter and USA Air Force officer and fighter pilot.

Dr. Bell has received hundreds of awards for his efforts in improving society through fitness, health and nutrition, education and training. He has twice been selected as the featured Presenter on exercise physiology and sports nutrition at the U.S. Olympic and Pan American College. He was appointed to the Florida Governor’s Task Force on the Obesity Epidemic.

An international lecturer and fitness expert, Dr. Bell was selected as the lead speaker on exercise physiology and sports nutrition at the 1996 U.S. Olympic and Pan American Coaches College at the University of Minnesota in the summer of 1996 and again in 1998 at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY. The Coaches College works hard to ensure that it maintains a variety of speakers and topics from world experts. For this reason, it is rare at beat that a speaker be invited to return. Dr. Bell is only one of the three speakers (out of 200 total speakers that have presented to the college) ever selected to return to the Olympic Coaches College for a second presentation.

Recently Dr. Bell has been honored for his commitment and expertise on fitness, health and nutrition by being appointed to Governor Bush’s: Governor’s Task Force on the Obesity Epidemic.

Dr. Bell will be the main presenter at the upcoming Fellowship In Integrative Sports Medicine Module I CME conference in Tampa, FL and Milford, FL.
